Rafael Alfandary moved to Canada in 1970, and quickly established himself as one of the most popular jewellery designers of the decade. His clients at the time included Margaret Trudeau, Lorne Greene, Liberace and Muhammad Ali, and more recently, Prince wore a piece by Rafael to the People's Choice Awards in 2005.
The simple hammered wire and uncluttered setting of this piece allow the Murano glass cabochon to be the focus of this choker. The pretty pink on pink swirl is an unusual colourway for Rafael, and is quite dimensional when viewed in person.
