Right of Withdrawal & Data Erasure Policy for EU, EEA and UK Customers

At Samantha Howard Vintage, we value your privacy and your consumer rights. If you are a resident of the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA), you are legally entitled to specific rights regarding your purchases and your personal data under EU consumer protection laws and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Right of Withdrawal for Purchases (Order Cancellation)

Your Statutory Right

You have the right to withdraw from your purchase contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you (other than the carrier), takes physical possession of the goods.

How to Exercise Your Right

Mandatory Return Shipping & Insurance Requirements

Because we specialize in rare, irreplaceable vintage, second-hand jewelry and unique mid-century modernist accessories, strict return rules apply to protect these items:

  • Cost: You must bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
  • Tracking & Insurance: You must pay for a shipping service that includes package tracking and shipping insurance covering the full retail value of the items. We cannot issue refunds for items that are lost or stolen in transit.
  • Packaging: Items must be shipped back in their original packaging or in new packaging of similar, high-grade quality to ensure the goods suffer no damage during transit.
  • Condition: Items must be returned in the exact same condition as they were sold. You are fully liable for any diminished value or damage resulting from improper handling or poor protective packaging.


Effects of Withdrawal & Refunds

Upon secure receipt and inspection of the returned item(s) at our studio, we will process your refund.

  • Refund Coverage: We will issue a refund for the exact cost of the product(s).
  • Timing: The refund will be credited back to your original payment method without undue delay, and no later than 14 days from the day we receive your returned goods in their original condition.

By submitting this form, I acknowledge that I am responsible for paying the return shipping fees, which must include a tracking number and shipping insurance covering the full retail value of the items. 2. Right to Withdraw Consent for Personal Data (GDPR)

Your Data Rights

If you have previously given consent for us to process your personal information—such as subscribing to our email newsletter or creating a customer account—you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time (GDPR Article 7).

Withdrawing your consent means we will stop processing your data for marketing or tracking purposes immediately. Please note that withdrawing consent:

  • Does not affect the lawfulness of any data processing we conducted before your withdrawal.
  • Does not apply to transactional data we are legally required to retain for financial tax records, accounting, or anti-fraud obligations under Canadian or international retail laws.

How to Request Data Erasure (Right to be Forgotten)

To cancel email marketing, you can click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any email we send you. To completely withdraw your consent or request that we delete your customer profile and personal details from our active store systems, please email us directly:
