From an extensive collection of mid century through postmodern jewellery acquired between the late 1950s and the 1990s. The collector lived in New York and enjoyed purchasing directly from artists’ studios when possible.
This piece was made in the 1980s and was piece #3 in Hughes' 2nd series of pieces taking large structures and working them into a more intimate art form.
