This vase features a mottled matte and semi matte glaze in a spectacular palette of buff, brown, turquoise and mustard on a chamotte stoneware body. Envalds joined Arabia as a trainee in the art department in 1964, working first as an assistant to Birger Kaipiainen and then for Toini Muona. In 1970 he started as an independent artist, working under the auspices of Kaj Franck.
