This piece is from a wonderful collection of jewellery by Canadian greats Walter Schluep and Hans Gehrig purchased directly from their ateliers in the 1970s & 80s.
The pieces collectively show Schluep and Gehrig’s great range in style and techniques, and many stand as marvellous little sculptures in their own right. They’re all exquisitely well made.
This ring is cleverly wrought out of a single piece of silver and is quite large in scale, so please do have a look at the final image to see what it looks like in hand.
