Niels Erik From (1908-1986) began working in silver in his native Denmark in his early twenties. From’s workshops created pieces in two distinct styles: his earliest works in traditional, floral, naturalistic designs and later, more pared down and sleek minimalist forms. This lovely brooch falls into the latter category, and is quite a substantial piece of Danish Modernist jewellery.
