From an extensive collection of mid century through postmodern jewellery acquired between the late 1950s and the 1990s. The collector lived in New York and enjoyed purchasing directly from artists’ studios when possible.

The only reference we could find about a J Tarentino and jewelry was from Metalsmith Magazine. It may or may not be this maker, but the time frame is right and the description of her piece certainly matches this bracelet.

This article showcases various exhibitions in the form of collected exhibition reviews published in the 1992 Winter issue of the Metalsmith Magazine.

The resemblance of their shape to machine parts and ties to industrial design also characterized the honorable-mention necklace by Jennifer Tarentino (The University of the Arts, Philadelphia), a well-crafted and balanced 31″ chain of interconnected geometric shapes embellished with contrasting onyx and silver beads.
